Xbox LIVE Update - Twitter, Facebook, Last.fm, Zune, Inside Xbox News & More

As I promised, I will keep you guys updated about this new Xbox LIVE Update coming this autumn.
With this update you should be able to use Twitter, Facebook, Last.fm and Zune on your Xbox360. Also their should come an "Inside Xbox News & More" section.
I am currently beta-testing this update.

Xbox LIVE Update Preview

I got selected to become a Xbox LIVE Update Preview- beta tester!
This will mean that over the next few weeks I will be given the opportunity to experience all the great new features which will be available soon on Xbox, but I get to see them before the rest of the world.

I updated my LinkedIn... Finally

Today I finally updated my LinkedIn profile. I created my account a while ago, but didn't really used LinkedIn.
Sinced I updated my profile page today, I can finally add some connections and won't have to be scared that they'll see an empty page.

Vimeo has got itself a new member

Since I'm getting more and more interested in Communities on the web. I was looking for a new video-hosting community.
Why? Well, YouTube removed the audio file of one of my video's because I used a song where I didn't pay for (naughty me).
Since that video wasn't commercial or what so ever I made my decision to find a new host.
Vimeo gives me good-quality video and is known to contain more "serious" video then YouTube.

My first video on Vimeo is a school assignment I made 2 years age. It's Dutch, but I hope you'll get the point anyhow:

Facebook has got itself a new member

Ok, so since XBox is comming with their new update the autumn. And I'm getting more and more excited about communities. The next step I should take is creating a Facebook account.
So I did:

If you also would like to create a Facebook account. Don't forget to go to http://www.facebook.com/username/ were you can register your own "short-url". Else you will have to direct your friends to a url which contains allot of numbers... and that just isn't handy.
But be quick, Facebook is gaining popularity very very fast. I couldn't claim these profiles because they were all taken:

• And many more I tried

So I picked "KoenCoppens.nl".

But be aware... once you picked a username for this url... you can't change it anymore.

Twitter and Facebook on XBox

This autumn XBox will come with an update where you can use Twitter and Facebook on your XBox!



Today I signed myself up for beta-testing of this update. Let's hope I get selected and I can give you all a sneak-preview about this new Update of Xbox.

Working on a new lay-out for my website.

So my website really really really (I mean really) needs to be updated. I haven't done this in years.
So, since I'm working with Communities right now and Communities are the future ( <-- Trust me on this one).
I was thinking of making some sort of "splash-page" were I link to my Community sites...

Right now my community sites are: YouTube, Blogger, Twitter, Delicious, LinkedIn and Hyves. Probably I won't link to Hyves on my website, just because I don't feel that Hyves is "professional" enough for me.

Delicious in plain english

So... what is Delicious actually? I watched this great video on YouTube where Delicious is explained in a short, easy and fun way:



So actually on Delicious uses 5 simple steps:

1. Create a Delicious account
2. Go on the web
3. Add interesting sites to your Delicious account (and add tags)
4. Search your favourite website by tags
5. Be social on Delicious:
   

• look for other people that bookmarked the same page
• search for tags other people added to "your" interesting site
• create a network of people with the same interest and share your favourite sites.
